Our mascot is the stoat—a small, sleek member of the weasel family that’s quick, clever, and full of energy. Much like a good cup of coffee, the stoat is spirited and keeps you moving!
A stoat is a small carnivorous mammal, with temperament of a wolverine, also known as the short-tailed weasel or ermine. It’s found in parts of Michigan, England, Ireland, North America, Europe, and Asia. In winter, its fur turns white (called “ermine”), and in summer, it’s brown with a black-tipped tail. Stoats are known for being playful, curious, and adaptable—qualities we celebrate at Carrigan Café.
